Keeping up with sign maintenance is a crucial component in making a favorable customer first-impression. When part (or all) of your sign is not working, you look run down and are telling your customers you’re tired and don’t care. That impression sends customers running away. Signs for San Diego repairs all types of neon, fluorescent and LED signs on the ground and up to 30 feet in the air. We have the tools and experience to fix your sign.
fluorescent lampsWith Fluorescent bulbs, as with babies, when brown discoloration appears at one end. It is time to change them.
What is a HO? When your Fluorescent bulbs burn out, you need a HO or High Output replacement. You can’t find HOs at Home Depot. They are only available through wholesale electrical and sign distributors. Yes, we stock HOs.
Don’t know if the tranny is working? Touch the thing! Working, happy trannys are warm and often have a slight vibration. Cold dead trannys need replacement. We can help.
Not getting turned on? Signs get turned on via timers, sensors and sometimes both. If you can no longer turn your sign on, and counseling did not help, call us, we come to your aid.
Have dim bulbs? Replace them with best and brightest. If you replace one dim bulb the others get jealous – replace them all. It will save you a future service call.
The risks of doing this yourself
Man falling Off LadderHeight – If it’s up there, we use our bucket truck which takes us up safely to the right place. Occasionally we use ladders – we have 6 foot, 8, 10, 12, 24 and 32 foot ladders. Did you know that 68.5% of the statistics concerning owners falling off of ladders are made up on the spot? Don’t risk it – we have antigravity tools.
Sign resist opening up to strangers. We know and understand shy and resistant signs. We encourage them to open up to us and will fix their problems.
Pulling a face off can result in a breakage. A broken face can easily cost you $500. We have trained technicians that will pull off a face, repair what is not working and replace the face, making it bright and happy again. We only fix signs; your kids are your problem.
Once inside the sign, what you discover may be shocking. There is no guarantee you are safe from high voltage and exposed wires. But good news!! If you are being electrocuted, gravity can be your friend. You will lose your grip and the fall will disconnect you. It IS the law (of gravity). Leaving your repair in the hands of a qualified technician using the correct tools can save yourself, your bulbs, your tranny and your sanity down the road).

If you are de-lighted, it could be as simple as changing a fluorescent bulb. Don’t allow impending darkness; followed be lower sales and a seedier customer base into your business. There is really no way of knowing what is wrong with the sign without opening it up and looking inside.
